On August 4, 2017, Brian Winterfeldt chaired the 4th annual IP Law Institute during Lavender Law, the largest annual LGBT legal conference in the United States, as organized by the LGBT Bar. The IP Law Institute, a half-day mini-conference within Lavender Law, featured a keynote address by John Cabeca, Director of the Silicon Valley USPTO; panel presentations on cutting-edge developments in global trademark portfolio management, patent and technology practice, and IP policy matters; and a wrap-up discussion to distill key takeaways. In addition to Mr. Cabeca, speakers included leading in-house IP professionals from a variety of industries and outside counsel from both global and smaller law firms.
