The Congressional Trademark Caucus offers an opportunity for members of Congress, the media and the general public to learn about trademark issues and the importance of brand protection, especially as relating to counterfeiting concerns. On December 11, 2017, Brian Winterfeldt moderated a Congressional Trademark Caucus briefing entitled, “Online Counterfeiting During the Holiday Season.” The event, which was held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Senate in Washington, DC, featured panelists from the Toy Association, American Apparel & Footwear Association, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center.
