Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As the United States prepares to celebrate our Thanksgiving holiday later this week, the Winterfeldt IP Group team and I wanted to take a moment to let you all know how thankful we are that you could be a part of our professional and personal lives during an incredibly challenging 2020!

We are thankful for our wonderful clients who have engaged us for new or continued work during a period that has been so very difficult for the global business community, trusting us with the protection of your intellectual property. We are thankful for our fantastic network of international counsel and other vendors, who have worked so diligently throughout this pandemic to ensure we can provide seamless support for our clients throughout the United States and the world. We are thankful for our industry colleagues in government organizations, NGOs, and professional associations, who advocate tirelessly for strong brand protection policies, quickly adapting to the changing global landscape. We are thankful for our friendly competitors at other law firms, for making our industry so collaborative and collegial and for elevating the practice of trademark law through your own excellence. We are thankful for our personal friends and family members who have provided selfless support behind the scenes during these very stressful times, encouraging us to remain fully engaged with our work rather than letting our focus and standards slip.

This year’s celebrations will look very different for most of us; while we would normally be sitting down to large family tables and Friendsgiving potlucks, our gatherings will be smaller and low-key. Rather than looking ahead to a month of festive holiday parties and dinners with our colleagues, we are continuing to keep most of our connections virtual, doing our best to appreciate that the modern era allows us to “see” each other, if through a screen.

Still, when we think of all of you who are a critical part of our daily lives in and out of work, who are integral to the success and growth of Winterfeldt IP Group, we know we are extraordinarily fortunate. We hope that circumstances will allow us to thank each of you, in person, by sometime in 2021. Until then, please know how immensely grateful we are. Happy Thanksgiving!
