Chris Castro is an associate with Winterfeldt IP Group. He has extensive experience with all phases of litigation, including intellectual property.
Chris Castro is a highly experienced litigation attorney who has worked extensively in state and federal courts. Now focusing on intellectual property litigation, his prior work includes a diverse range of litigation-focused practice areas, including general litigation, entertainment law, business litigation, and family law, as well as significant work in insurance defense.
Chris manages all phases of the litigation process, including attending to complex pre-litigation matters; drafting pleadings and motions; and taking and defending depositions. He manages large-scale discovery; prepares witnesses for trial testimony; formulates all aspects of trial strategy, including cross-examination strategy and trial outlines; and supervises other attorneys supporting the litigation process. Chris also develops settlement strategies and negotiates high-stakes settlements, as well as represents clients in contractual disputes.
Prior to his legal career, Chris served in the U.S. Army. He subsequently earned his B.S. with majors in criminology and communications at Arizona State University, receiving numerous awards for academic performance. He then earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he was a three-year recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarship. Chris is a member of the California State Bar.
