Christy Susman Bio:
A seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in a variety of practice areas and roles, Christy specializes in trademark, licensing and general brand protection matters. After two years at Morrison & Foerster and six years as a contract attorney, Christy moved in-house at Brown-Forman/Jack Daniel’s Properties, Inc., and gained a range of experience in the “soft IP” arena handling matters related to trademarks, copyrights, rights of publicity/privacy, licensing and brand protection both online and otherwise. More recent clients have included Playboy Enterprises and GoPro.
An effective communicator Christy’s broad range of experience allows her to advise clients on a range of issues across all areas of domestic and international trademark and copyright law including: trademark prosecution and enforcement, clearance, trademark office proceedings, trade dress, copyright, Internet and domain name issues, including domain name disputes. Christy also brings a depth of knowledge and experience to the negotiation and drafting of all types of trademark related agreements and licenses particularly in the consumer goods space.
