International Women's Day, first recognized by the United Nations in 1977, celebrates the achievements of women across the world on March 8. Glen de Saint Géry serves as Senior IP Policy Manager for Winterfeldt IP Group. With 25 years of experience in Internet Domain Name System (DNS) matters and over 15 years as Secretary to the Domain Name Supporting Organization that is now the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) of the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), Glen has a thorough understanding of the inner workings of ICANN and extensive familiarity with the policies and best practices that have shaped the GNSO. Fluent in five languages (Afrikaans, Dutch, English, French, German), Glen provides extensive support to Winterfeldt IP Group’s international clients and industry activities and is highly regarded among clients and coworkers as a hallmark of professionalism and goodwill.
Emily D. Murray serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Winterfeldt IP Group. Emily, whose legal career spans nearly 25 years, manages a diverse assortment of functions within Winterfeldt IP Group's leadership team, including directing our firm’s marketing and business development activities and providing strategic direction for the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) engagement. Emily, who holds a BA in English and an MBA, also provides non-legal business advice to clients in the brand protection, Internet and policy arenas, and frequently serves as a client project manager for matters in these areas. She serves as an advisor on client communications, ensuring they offer guidance that is both thoughtful and business-minded and that can be implemented easily by clients’ in-house teams. With extensive knowledge of ICANN’s new generic top-level domain (gTLD) program, she supports both domain name portfolio management and domain name enforcement, and also tracks and provides analysis of Internet policy issues relevant to brand owners, such as those relating to rights protection mechanisms. Emily regularly speaks on digital brand protection, building digital brand presence, and IP policy matters at client and industry events. She has also co-authored numerous articles on these topics, as well as on DEI matters in the legal industry.
Terri Doud, Of Counsel at Winterfeldt IP Group, has nearly three decades of legal experience spanning both private practice and in-house positions. As an attorney who has served at the senior leadership level in in-house roles at some of the world’s largest companies, Terri connects seamlessly with executive teams and understands the global business implications of legal decisions. With significant experience in heavily regulated industries such as spirits and financial services, Terri is able to provide specialized guidance on the unique intellectual property needs of organizations that have heightened consumer protection considerations. Throughout her career, Terri has played an integral role in building entire global IP programs themselves, assuming responsibility for not only trademark portfolios, but also copyright matters, patents, trade secrets, and how their interconnected nature builds a cohesive IP protection program. Terri’s tireless work ethic and compassionate, encouraging and insightful leadership style elevate everyone around her, and we are so grateful to have her on our team.
