Key topics of interest to brand owners addressed during ICANN77 included: ICANN's recent leadership change and ongoing search for a permanent CEO; updates on progress on subsequent rounds of new gTLDs (now targeted for 2026); access to WHOIS data, in particular, the ongoing development of the Registration Data Request Service (RDRS), which is due to be launched in late 2023; and ongoing cross-community discussions on domain name system (DNS) abuse.
