On Thursday, October 8, 2020, Winterfeldt IP Group hosted the first webinar in its new Diversity Speaker Series, “A Conversation with EJ Jackson.”
In this program, EJ, who is the author of the acclaimed memoir Thirteen and a noted disability advocate in connection with multiple sclerosis (as well as a former member of the team that became Winterfeldt IP Group), offered a candid look at her writing process and the life experiences that have shaped her, from the challenging childhood discussed in Thirteen to her distinguished career in the legal industry to her recent advocacy work and creative pursuits. While frank in her depictions of how early exposure to addiction and violence have a profound impact on one’s life, EJ concluded with a message of hope and possibility for those looking to a better future.
We hope you were able to join us live for this extraordinary presentation, conducted in the format of an interview with our Founder and Principal, Brian Winterfeldt. However, if you were not able to join us last week, we are pleased to offer the video recording on a complimentary basis, available for viewing at: https://winterfeldt.zoom.us/rec/share/kiRRoRbgG9RXIpxjCCScXLO-GT1k47eqX8Xm7ISjv8-CGegww1fR6BgNlDmJMMxL.73OxEccuafJVVd69
Please feel free to share the recording with any of your colleagues or other contacts who may be interested in EJ’s story.
Our Diversity Speaker Series, which will continue to focus on the personal stories and voices of diverse members from a broad cross-section of our legal industry community, will resume in January 2021. Please be on the lookout for an announcement soon regarding our next program.
We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing to provide you with original programming and new perspectives on impactful intellectual property and diversity topics!
